The Medissage Story
Medissage was not built from theory—it was built from lived experience.
After decades in the massage and wellness field, our founders saw a critical gap: people living with chronic pain were falling through the cracks of the healthcare system. They were searching for relief, but what they often found was temporary solutions, fragmented care, or no access at all.
This understanding was not only professional—it was personal.
Between our founders, Arricka and Vernon, there is over a decade of lived experience navigating homelessness, healthcare instability, and recovery. During times of hospitalization and transition, one truth became clear: there were little to no wraparound services to support the full journey of healing. Care was disconnected. Patients were treated, but not truly supported.
That gap became the mission.
Medissage was created to change that.
We are redefining what massage therapy can be by integrating it into coordinated healthcare. Through our ReBoosTx™ model, we connect patients, providers, and systems—bridging the gap between wellness and medicine. Our work supports not only pain management, but whole-person outcomes that improve quality of life.
Because we have lived it, we understand something many systems overlook: healing does not stop at treatment. Patients also need guidance, support, and accountability. That is why Medissage integrates Health and Wellness Coaching—ensuring individuals are supported not just clinically, but personally, as they rebuild stability and long-term wellness.
Now, as we expand into Houston, we are building something bigger than a program—we are building a scalable, collaborative model that can transform how care is delivered in communities across the country.

Medissage exists because we have lived the gaps in care.
We have experienced what it feels like to move from homelessness into healthcare systems that treat symptoms—but not people. To be in recovery without guidance. To be discharged without support.
That is why we built something different.
Through the ReBoosTx™ model, we don’t just treat pain—we support the whole person, including Health and Wellness Coaching that helps patients rebuild stability, confidence, and long-term wellness.
